KFC Epic

We shot this KFC tabletop spot in Bucharest with director Joris Noordenbos and the team at StudioSet, and honestly, it was one of those jobs where the food had to look absolutely alive without any tricks. The brief was straightforward, the execution less so. We're talking precise lighting setups to catch the texture and steam, working at scales where every millimeter of focus matters. The challenge wasn't making it look good, it was making it look real, which sounds simple until you're balancing practical lights against the reflective surfaces of the product. Joris had a clear vision for how the food should feel on screen, and we dialed in the gear and positioning to match that. It's the kind of work where you spend half your time problem-solving the physics of light and half your time waiting for the right moment. No shortcuts, just solid technical work and patience.
